General Information

The Identification and Security Technology Center (ISTC) was set up by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in 2007 as the first step toward the long-term development of radio frequency identification technology. The role of ISTC has been to meet the technological needs of Taiwan’s budding RFID industry and assist in its growth. ISTC has also played an active part in promoting and coordinating efforts by its sister core laboratories, linkage centers and focus centers in ITRI to further the technological advances of the RFID industry.

ISTC is technically strong with a reputation for quality and integrity. From RFID tag, reader, and auto-ID and sensor design to systems development and solutions, performance test and solutions, and innovative supply-chain application, ISTC people are dedicated to turning innovative ideas into essential products and services that fulfill industrial demands for competitive enhancement.
